We've had a crazy, busy few weeks... K's gone to overnight/birthday parties for the past 3 weekends. And everynight this week has been devoted to basketball. K's team, the Wild Crushers, came in 2nd place during the regular season. Playoffs were Monday night, the championship game Tuesday night, All-Star practice Wednesday night and the All-Star game Thursday night. WE WON THE ALL-STAR GAME! More importantly, the undefeated team finally lost in all-stars! It's been a challenging week at work, with several important meetings that have gone very well. I had hoped for a quiet weekend at home this weekend. I considered inviting one of K's friends over, but didn't, initially... Yet one is fast asleep in K's room tonight, as I type this. The thing that I love most about living here is that there is no lack of kids to play with. Saturday afternoon, 3 girls rang the doorbell asking if K could come out and play. Next thing I know, there are 7 kids building a "kids clubhouse" out of cardboard boxes in our front yard. I love it when this happens! It always brings back memories of my childhood, playing with neighborhood kids until dark. Life is Good!

Great Friends
