In the last swim meet of the summer, in her last event, Kyra did something silly, although she claims it was not on purpose. Her last event was free-style relay. She dove in and swam to the end of the pool. She did a flip-turn and then pops up in the next lane over! When she popped up, she knew something wasn't right. She looked around and then swam back under the lane rope to get back into her correct lane, as we stood staring/gaping/wondering what the heck stunt she was trying to pull. When she finished the 50-yards, her relay-team mates and I were laughing/perplexed and noticed that her goggles were around her neck. She said that her goggles came off when she dove into the pool at the start, and when she did her flip-turn she couldn't see underwater where she was. Relieved that it wasn't a stunt, we relaxed and laughed. Funny way to end the season!
