4th Grade Field Trip

No, Kyra's not in this photo, but I didn't get a great one of her today. These are some of her classmates having a huge belly laugh at two boys being made to demonstrate how soldiers had to snuggle up to keep warm at night during the Civil War. I opted to take a vacation day to help chaperone the 4th Grade Field Trip to the William Harris Homestead. I had a lot more fun on this field trip than I would have had at the office... Plus I got to car pool with a couple of friends (parents of two other 4th graders) that I haven't seen in a while so that was an added bonus! The highlight of the field trip was a hay ride through part of the 500 acres. We saw a deer running through the woods. Some of the children had never seen a live deer before and the amazed looks on their faces were priceless!
