We decided in the Spring that we would spend Thanksgiving at Southern Cross Guest Ranch. I made reservations a month ago and they only had one room available. We drove there this evening and were happy with the small, but cozy/comfy/clean room. We were assigned the General Lee room. I mentioned that my brother once named a cat General Lee and told Kyra the story of that poor cat's trauma and amazing recovery. Kyra selected the movie "Elf" from the DVD library and we settled in our room to watch it. She said it was fitting because she had asked Santa for her Elf Kendall and my Elf Edward to return to us on Thanksgiving (tomorrow). We enjoyed watching the movie together. Cute!

Watching "Elf" while hoping for elves
