why you shouldn't burn a candle near a lamp

Kyra came home last night and it was AWESOME to see her and hear her stories of Colorado. I missed my baby! She had fun with Grandma Maile, and also with step-Grandma Claudia. She won 1st place ribbons in her very first horse show! So PROUD of her!!!

But today's post is about... why you shouldn't burn a candle near a lamp... Especially a lamp made of plastic...  I LOVE candles and light them daily. I lit this candle before bed and enjoyed the aroma as I read. But before I drifted off to sleep, I leaned over to blow out the candle. I wondered what the blue strip was in the top of the wax...  BUMMER!!!  It melted my lamp shade!!!
