Kyra flew to Colorado on 12/26 and returned to Georgia last night. I picked her up from her step-mom at 11:30 this morning. She had a lot of fun in Colorado, riding horses, visiting with relatives, and skiing, but was glad to be back home. She started working on putting together the barn/stable that Santa brought. I was quite happy that she took on this initiative! However, that didn't last long. I heard loud grunts of frustration becoming more frequent. After lunch, when I heard her crying, I went in to help her. Then I got frustrated. Why didn't Santa put this thing together before bringing it to our house? A few hours later, we had it all screwed together, but some parts didn't fit perfectly together. Kyra said it was okay, that she could barely notice. She then had fun opening the packages of Breyer horse accessories and placing them in the stable. Later I returned to find that she had it all set up. Plus, she had fun writing on her new chalk wall.
