Sam's taxi service

Kyra's with her dad this weekend, but I agreed to take one of her friends to the basketball game this morning because her parents had prior commitments. Allyson's mom was a participant in the local Christmas parade and her dad had a Boy Scout activity he was involved with. I gladly agreed to take Allyson to the game. Her mom dropped her off at our house at 8:45 a.m. Shortly afterwards, the basketball coach called. He said his car is in the shop and he asked if we could give him a ride to the game. Sure, no problem! We picked him up at 9:15 a.m. and drove to Suwanee Sports Acadamy for team photos and their game.

The game was a disaster. We lost 5 to 27. Our girls tried their best, but their team was just much better. Allyson's mom arrived in the middle of the game and took her home afterwards. The Coach also coaches a 7th grade team and said he'd get a ride home from someone on their team after their game was over.

So... I went to Discovery Mills to do a little Christmas shopping. I was happy to see that it wasn't very crowded when I arrived. I ate lunch at Thai Diner, YUM. Then went to the Nike outlet store to buy gifts for Laura as well as some more long tights for me and a pair of pants for Kyra. And guess who was in the store at the same time.?.?. Allyson and her mom and brother! Next I went to the Lego store. It didn't take me long to find what I wanted, but unfortunately there was a LONG line to check-out and only two registers open. My stress level rose the longer I stood in line. Next I wandered the mall in search of other gifts. I found one item for Claudette (Kyra's step mom) and some stocking stuffers. The mall was getting very crowded so I called it quits for the day.

The photo in this post is of our cat, Tiger, lounging in my running gear bag in the laundry room. The life of a kitty...
