Kyra had her first tennis match of the Spring season today at Mountain Park. She was nervous to be playing in the #1 singles position against one of her friends who has played for years on another team. They're in the same 5th grade class and have been talking smack to each other all day. Savannah is much better than Kyra, but Lisa and I just told her to go out there and have fun, do her best, and not worry about losing. So that's what she did. She did win one game; woo hoo! I enjoyed chatting with Lisa, Gail, Scott, Lori, Beverly, Perry, etc. while our girls played. Afterwards, Savannah's mom invited Kyra to play in the park with them and said she'd bring her home afterwards. I agreed and went home to make dinner.
Just a few days ago we noticed some of our flowers starting to bloom in the front yard. After Gail brought Kyra home from the park, Kyra was so sweet to cut this flower and bring it inside for me. I placed it in the kitchen window since it seems like I spend most of my time, when we're at home, in the kitchen. It smells heavenly!
