Yesterday, the orthodontist said Kyra would be ready for braces as soon as she lost that very loose last baby tooth. This was enough incentive to get Kyra to work on it since she's eager for braces. I'm working from home today and Kyra's been hanging out with me. Around 11:45 a.m., I found her standing in the bathroom rinsing her mouth, with her last baby tooth sitting in the sink (stopper closed). Bitter-sweet.... I'm happy it's finally out, but yet sad that this phase of her life is over. I wonder what the tooth fairy brings for the very last tooth? I suggested that we go out to lunch to celebrate and she said she'd rather me buy her a new Nintendo DS game instead of taking her out to eat. Since a new game would c
ost slightly more than a nice lunch at a restaurant, I agreed. We ate at home and went shopping later in the afternoon after I finished working for the day. She wanted to go to Target. They didn't have any games she was interested in so we went to Game Stop next. They sell primarily used games but have a small selection of new games too. She picked a Horse game and was happy.

She picked a Horse game and was happy.When we got home, I pumped up my bicycle tires and we went for a short bike ride in our neighborhood. I let Kyra set the pace, direction, and distance. We only rode for about 15 minutes but we had fun! We should do this more often!
