stamps, tennis, run, BAD DOG

My original plan was to get up early and run 5 miles, but I didn't feel so good when I woke up so I reset the alarm clock and decided that I would run later in the day instead. I sent a card to Kyra this morning and included ten Simpson stamps. I hope it gets to her soon enough for her to use them.

Lisa sent me an email this afternoon asking me to register Kyra in ALTA (tennis) and send her her assigned ALTA number. I tried to reach Lisa but left messages/email. I talked to Tonya and she said they were putting together a team of Junior girls for the Fall tennis season and there would be only 6 matches. She thought the matches would be Saturday afternoons. Since ALTA registration is only $10 I went ahead and registered Kyra. I hope she wants to play! I hate signing her up for something without talking to her first. But if she really doesn't want to do it, we're only out $10. I'm betting that she'll want to play, though, solely because she'll be on a team of friends. This is probably the only sport where you can pick your team-mates. Guess I should now ask her dad if he's willing to bring her to matches on weekends that she's with him...

After talking to Ty, I went to Stone Mountain to run my scheduled 5 miles. I was feeling better in the afternoon, but I totally bonked at mile 3. Unfortunately, I hadn't brought any fuel along, only water. I ended up walking a good bit of the last mile. I convinced myself that I had had two great runs prior to this one, so it was okay to have a bad run. I soothed my soul by having pizza at Bambinelli's afterwards. At least I brought home most of it!

At bed time, I took the dogs out for one last potty break. And while standing there at the basement door waiting on them, I looked out into the yard and saw one of the couch pillows in the yard. RILEY!!! BAD DOG!!!
