another visit with Dr. Levengood

My heel pain has gotten significantly worse since Saturday. I broke down and made an appointment with my favorite sports medicine doctor, Gary Levengood.  X-rays showed no signs of stress fracture. He diagnosed as plantar fasciitis, which is what I suspected. He gave me a cortisone injection into my foot/heel, gave me heel cushion inserts for my shoes, told me to stretch/ice, and said I could resume running tomorrow. Come back in 4 weeks for a check-up. Yay! I enjoyed seeing Lisa in his office... it's been too long... she said she's going to register for the Chicago marathon today.  YAY!!!
