Kyra's sick / long run

When Kyra woke up this morning, she complained of her back hurting. She said she didn't want to go to church. I told her that going to church could only help, not hurt, the situation. We ate breakfast and I took a shower. I told her to get dressed while I was showering. When I got out of the shower, I peeked out my window and saw her jumping on the trampoline. Her back must not hurt too bad...

So off we went to church. As usual, the adult service ended before Sunday School. I watched her through the Sunday School glass door and noticed that she didn't look well. We left church and went to Zaxby's for lunch. She complained of a headache as we drove. She said the sunlight was too bright, so I had her put on a pair of sunglasses. She didn't eat as much as normal, but did eat a decent amount. She leaned against me in the booth, obviously not feeling well. As soon as we finished eating, we went home. She immediately laid down on the couch and complained of a very bad headache, stomach ache and back ache. I gave her two Tylenol as she cried out in pain. I sat beside her and prayed as I rubbed her back. We talked quietly for a little while and about 30 minutes after I had given her the Tylenol, she fell asleep. I guess the Tylenol took the edge off enough to let her rest. She slept for two hours and I knew she really must be sick because she NEVER naps unless she's ill. When she woke up, she said she felt a little better. She wanted to watch TV and said it would be okay for me to do my long run on the treadmill in the basement. I originally planned to run loops around the neighborhood, but didn't want to risk being away with her not feeling well.  1.8 miles into my treadmill run, she came down to the basement and said she had just vomited. I went back upstairs with her and sat with her for a few minutes on the couch. She said she felt better and that I should continue my run. I promised to come back and check on her, put a phone in the bathroom, and told her that if she got sick again, to call my cell phone and I would come up immediately.  I went back downstairs, ran 3 more miles on the treadmill, and came back up to check on her. She felt the same.  I went back downstairs, ran 4 more miles on the treadmill, and came back up to check on her. I gave her more Tylenol. I repeated this cycle until I completed my scheduled 17 miles. She didn't vomit again, but she maintained the headache, although it is less intense than it was before the Tylenol. After my run, I made a light dinner and then we went to bed. I'm not sure if I should keep her home from school tomorrow or not. The school encourages to keep a child home for 24 hours after vomiting or diahrea to limit passing the illness on to other children. But she only vomited once, had a severe headache, so I'm not sure if this is something contagious, or if the vomit was a result of the intense headache. I'll wait until the morning before making a decision...
