Intermediate Dog Training - Class #2

I worked from home today and enjoyed having my first lunch with Kyra and her 5th grade class! Apparently they were well behaved yesterday and the teacher (or principal, I'm not sure which) said they could take cards or books into the cafeteria. So after eating our yummy Chick-fil-A meal (the school lunch choice for today wasn't appealing), I played "go fish" with Kyra and Sarah. Fun times!

Puppy Training - On the day that Riley graduated from the basic obedience training, we registered for the intermediate training sessions. It includes 8 weeks and doesn't have to be consecutive, just keep track as you come. Because Kyra went away to camp, was with her dad, we went on vacation, etc. we only went to one session this summer. So tonight was session 2 for us. There was a gorgeous Samoyed that just moved here for training from another location so the session was mainly a refresher and status check. Riley did excellent at sitting, laying down, staying, etc. I was impressed that he did so well! But then again, I guess Kyra has continued to work with him at home, some, so I shouldn't be surprised. Kyra seemed happy to be back in the training class and I enjoyed watching how well she handled Riley. What an awesome pair!
