Orientation Day

Kyra slept late this morning and then we went to Orientation day at school. She has an awesome teacher this year and has lots of great kids in her class as well. Her desk is next to Bryce's who's a good friend of hers. They've been in several classes together, including kindergarten and 3rd grade. We dropped off her school supplies, purchased spirit wear, and talked to a few friends. Ed mentioned that he knows someone that is in the tree business so I should call him at home to get his friend's contact info to take care of this tree/limb in our back yard!

After Orientation Day, we went out for lunch and then purchased new shoes and school clothes. She has a closet full, but I had a coupon for 40% off at Justice so decided to take advantage of it. We returned home for her to watch TV and me to get busy working. I had a major crisis on one of my projects so I spent hours on the phone sorting out the details. While I was on the phone, Kyra did house cleaning to earn extra money. She wants an iPod touch, before her birthday. So she picked up all the stuffing that Riley has strewn, vacuumed and swept the entire upstairs, cleaned the table on the deck, swept the basement, and scrubbed the clay/mud off the basement doorstep. It cost me $$, but was well worth it since I don't seem to have the time to do everything! Thanks Kyra!
