Three years ago we spent mother's day at Southern Cross Guest/horse ranch. Our intention then was to simply check it out since our ultimate goal was to spend a week at a horse ranch during summer vacation. We fell in love with it that day, and since it was less expensive than a trip out west, we later enjoyed a summer vacation in GA. Last year we did a repeat and spent Mother's day at the horse ranch. This year I debated about a single day or one night... Their policy is a minimum of two weekend nights, and since Kyra is such an amazing student, I gave in and opted for a weekend stay. We're in the Iroquios room this weekend. It's on the top level and has a private balcony. I opened the main balcony door and put my hand on the handle of what I thought was a glass storm door. I was amazed at the clarity! Kyra told me to move over, thinking I was struggling with the handle, and then she simply stepped through the empty door frame! HA HA HA!!! No wonder it was so clear!!! Of course she spent the rest of the evening (and weekend) laughing at me for thinking it was a very clear glass door. After she punctured through the invisible storm door, we sat on the balcony talking and laughing and taking photos of her silly faces. Below are the "many faces of Kyra", plus a photo of a horse pair (I didn't realize they were a pair until I took a photo of them together in the stable two days later and afterwards realized they are the same horses that were in the pasture today.)
