red bird in garage

Well, I'm too embarrassed about the messiness of the garage, plus the photo is blurry, so I won't post a photo here. However.... Kyra's spending tonight with her dad and I worked late. When I arrived home, I didn't shut the garage door imediately, as I intended to go back out to collect the mail. But inside the kitchen, I got distracted with putting away dishes from the dishwasher. At one point, I heard a loud bird chirp. It was too loud to be out in the yard. I glanced out the kitchen/garage window and saw a red bird in the garage eating bird seed from the feeder that had been overturned in the garage. The feeder was once kept on the back deck, but squirrels kept bothering it so I took it down and set it in the garage. I guess someone/thing knocked it over and the seed was freely flowing. I attempted to snag a photo with my phone, but it was blurry. By the time I grabbed the camera, the bird flew away. So.... although un-photo-documented, I had a cool experience with a beautiful bird in our garage!
