mindful eating, tennis win, graduation dress, first rose of year

On Friday, I read Holisticguru's post about mindfully eating fruit. So Saturday morning, I mindfully ate my breakfast, played with the remains, and took this photo. I sent her a tweet with the photo saying "mindful eating = silly face". To my surprise, she posted it on her blog!

Kyra spent the night last night at Sarah's house for Sarah's birthday party. I picked her up at 11 a.m. After lunch we went to Kyra's 3rd tennis match of the season. She played doubles with Hayley. The match started out fairly even, then the other team pulled ahead to a score of 3-7. Then to all of our amazement, Kyra and Hayley made a come-back and ended up winning 9-7! This was their first win, ever! So proud and happy!!!

After the tennis match we went shopping for a dress and shoes for Kyra's promotion ceremony (graduation from elementary school). The event is in May, but Kyra wanted to get the shopping over with. We went to a few different stores, and hours later ended up with a dress and shoes and headband that we both liked. Yay!!! Just hope she doesn't grow out of it beforehand...
 

We came home to see our first roses bluming with a bee nearby. How lovely! I later cut the first rose and put it in a vase, as has been a tradition since we planted the bush years ago. Such beauty!
