World of Coca Cola (stay-cation day 2), wishing for a tortoise

Day 2 of Spring Break stay-cation included two hours of work. I had a business meeting that I needed to attend. So we got up early, Kyra did her dog-sitting duties, we picked up Krispy Kreme donuts and drove into my office. She's had either a cold or allergies for the past week has had a pink/crusty eye the past few days. It's better now, but knew I shouldn't take her to day care. So she went to work with me and played on my office computer while I attended the one hour meeting. After I finished wrapping up tasks at the office (we were there for 2 hours), I packed my stuff and took it to the car. We then walked to the CNN Center for lunch, and then walked through Centennial Olympic Park to the World of Coca Cola for our stay-cation activity of the day. We really enjoyed the 4D movie and tasting the variety of coca cola products from around the world.

On the drive home she tried her best to convince me to go back to Petco and buy the red footed tortoise that we were looking at on Sunday. I'm very tempted, but the initial expense will be close to $300 for tortoise, habitat, lamps, bedding, etc. She really wants a guinea pig, or a rabit, or a hamster, but I'm not doing that again. I made the mistake of telling her yesterday that I felt guilty about throwing away salad scraps, while I was making dinner, when I could be giving them to a tortoise. I didn't give in, because of the expense, but said I may re-consider after tax refund. It would be a rare pet...
