Karolin called and asked if it would be okay for Zoe to hang out with us while she took Kurt to soccer practice and then get her car washed. Of course! The girls are having fun together! Later she called and said she was on her way home but received a call from the soccer field saying that Kurt may have broken his wrist. I told her that Zoe was welcome to stay as long as needed; that I was making dinner and would throw an extra chicken breast on the grill for Zoe. I reassured her to focus on Kurt and not worry about Zoe; she's welcome to stay as long as needed. I felt so good to be able to help out a friend. Most of the time I'm busy with work, etc. and feel like I don't have as much time to give as receive, so this time of helping a friend was insanely rewarding. Several hours later, Karolin and Kurt returned home after getting x-rays. Our favorite doctor will review the films in the morning. Zoe is currently in a wrist cast, so hopefully Kurt won't need one too... Who wants a snow cone? 50 cents!!!
