spring break stay-cation day 3

I was supposed to take Kyra to Claudette (her step-mom) at 2 p.m. today and Kyra had said she didn't want to do anything special today, so I opted to save a vacation day and work at home while she did whatever she wanted around the house. I worked on my lap top on the couch while she watched TV for most of the day. She wasn't feeling well (lots of nasal congestion). She never takes a nap, unless she's sick. I snagged a photo of her napping on the floor on top of Riley's head. He's a good pup to tolerate this!

It turned out that Claudette needed to care for a family member and wouldn't be leaving for Birmingham (where Joe was already) until tomorrow around noon. Since Kyra was napping and not feeling well and Claudette had a lot on her plate, I said I would just keep Kyra tonight. Hope she feels much better tomorrow!

After her nap, Kyra announced that she didn't like the flower pattern on her new capri's back pocket. She wanted to sew a patch over it. So she found her sewing kit from 4th Grade Pioneer Day, cut some of the wide ribbon that she had left over from last year, and hand sewed it over the flower pattern. She did an excellent job! Impressive!
