Sadly, I left the camera at home. Today was the most HILARIOUS tennis match that Kyra has played! It was the last one of the season and she played doubles with Sophia. It started out plain enough, except for the fact that they were winning every-other-game. (I think the most Kyra's won so far has been either 1 or 2.) Way to go girls! About half-way through the set, it became hilarious!!! Sophia's serve degraded. Her mom was frustrated beside me. Serve after serve did not even cross the net, and when it did, it went into the wrong box. Then magically, Sophia hit Kyra in the face/neck with a serve. And you're wondering why I say magically? It surprised Kyra, but she wasn't hurt. This must have made Sophia more consciencious and her serves improved drastically. But Kyra wasn't taking any chances and she squatted low to be out of the way of Sophia's serves. We couldn't help but laugh! There were quite a few great volleys in the games that followed. The most amazing one ended with Kyra running towards the fence, hitting the ball back over her head, and we watched in amazement as the ball went up, then came down, grazed the net and landed on the other side. WOW!!! (Of course she later hit the ball over the court fence.) Tonya and I laughed so hard this afternoon that we had tears in our eyes. Despite the 8-5 loss, Everyone agreed that this was the most entertaining match of the season!

hilarious tennis match
