Basketball Game #2, 9-18

The second official game of the basketball season was better than the first. We lost 9 to Duluth's 18, with Kyra scoring 5 of the 9 points. Our coach called me about 40 minutes before the game started saying that he was running very late and may not make it at all. He talked to Ken, a parent that has taken on the role as assitant coach. Brittany (Ashley's mom who once coached High School basketball) said she'd help Ken coach today. Joe and Claudette agreed to keep an eye on Brittany's younger daughter that is the same age as Delaney (Kyra's half-sister), so she could help coach. Parents stepped up to the plate and helped out as needed. Thanks to Heather for bringing snacks; to Robert and Kathy for helping me keep statistics; to Ken and Brittany for coaching; and to Joe and Claudette for watching Brittany's younger daughter. And to ALL the parents for CHEERING so loudly for our girls.
