Then off to school and work we went. I worked late and then picked up the dogs from Funnybones. I hated to just drop them off at home and leave, but I didn't have a choice; I was short on time. I was very happy to see that the landscapers had come during the day. The yard looks awesome and the gutter is back in its correct place!
Off to Home Depot. Kyra's spending tonight with her dad. I had to call her a couple of times to verify exactly what she needed for the science project. She had told me last night that she needed paint, paint brushes, and a door hinge. Other girls were providing other supplies. Call #1: what color paint? Then I called Terri to see if I could drop off the supplies at her house so the girls would have them after school tomorrow. She said she had paint and brushes, so all I needed to buy was a door hinge.
{side note: On Saturday, Kyra's dad called me to let me know that I needed to coordinate a time for Kyra's science olympics team to get together to build a catapult. He doesn't know the parents and I'm a much better coordinator than he is... A dozen calls later on Saturday, and a plan was in place... Terri will take the four girls home to her house after school on Tuesday (tomorrow) to work on their project.}
Arrive at Home Depot. I had no idea there were such a variety of sizes of door hinges! Call #2 to Kyra: What size? 2-inches. The 2-inch one looked to small to me, so I bought it and a larger one just in case. I delivered it to Colleen and told her they could choose which one they wanted to use.
