pedometer; bad dog

I worked from home today and decided to get a run in while Kyra was at morning swim practice. A friend of mine is taking a health and nutrition class and has to get in 70,000 steps on her pedometer in the next 10 days. I saw her at the pool and she was disappointed because she went to the gym and rode the stationary bike and the pedometer didn't register this 30 minute exercise. When I mentioned that I was going for a 3 mile run, she asked if I'd wear her pedometer. Sure... what the heck... I gave her about 6,000 steps, so she was happy!

Finally, the air conditioner replacement guy returned to the house to replace the thermostat. It was damaged when the board on the unit was fried when they crossed wires during the installation. It worked partially, but not perfectly. So anyway... While he was replacing the thermostat and checking connections on the outside unit, I put the dogs in my bedroom. WHAT WAS I THINKING??? I SHOULD HAVE PUT RILEY IN HIS CRATE!!! So guess what... Riley tore a bigger hole in Tasha's bed and pulled more stuffing out onto the floor. ARGH!!!
I enjoyed catching up with Danita and Claude at the pool this evening while the kids participated in the breaststroke clinic. Looking forward to warmer weather and relaxing by the pool!
