Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Thankfully, Riley woke me up early. He gets me up earlier than I'd like, but at the time I should get up to get things accomplished before Kyra awakes. After feeding the pups, I did a 5 mile jog on treadmill. Thankfully there was an interesting TV show to get me through it. Kyra came down to the basement about 3 miles into my jog. She said that she couldn't go back to sleep thanks to the window being open and a bird singing "ca-caw, ca-caw, ca-caw". I had to laugh when she flapped her arms while saying it! She's so cute!!!!!!

We went to church and I barely stayed awake. I was about to drift off, so I pulled out a piece of Trident gum. I shaped the wrapper into an airplane and it took all of my control not to throw it into the pew in front of me! Ngozi was wearing a v-back top in front of me and I just felt a strong urge to launch that small paper airplane into her exposed upper back. Somehow I managed restraint and made it through the service awake. Afterwards, we went out to lunch with several other members to Red Robin. Kyra and Gabriel both had their Nintendo DS's so they played games against each other while we waited for our meal.

We left lunch first so we could get home to pick up Riley. Then off we went to puppy obedience training class. This is week 7 or 8. There were only two of us there, so that made training go easier. Kyra and Riley did an awesome job as I sat on the stool and watched! Neptune's parents told me that they thought it was so cool that I was letting Kyra go through the training class with Riley rather than me doing it myself. I told them that he was her puppy. The instructor also commented on what a great bond Kyra and Riley have. She thinks they can go far and excel in competitions if she's interested in it. She talked about Junior "handlers" in which the handler is judged rather than the puppy, or agility, or rally, or tracking. Kyra's never heard of these before, but is interested in doing more with Riley. We've worked with Riley on "shake" during the past two weeks, but he just hasn't gotten it. He figured it out at the training class today! Yippee!!!

I had promised Kyra yesterday that we would do something fun today. The original plan was to take both dogs to a dog park, but unfortunately, it was raining as we left obedience training. I suggested going to see a movie and Kyra looked at movie options on my cell phone as I drove. As we neared home, we decided on Paul Blart - Mall Cop. It's playing at the cheap cinema. We wanted to see it months ago, but just haven't gotten around to it. So we dropped Riley off at home and then headed back to the cheap cinema which is located across from the PetsMart that we were just at. Tickets were $2 each, but snacks were the same insane expense as at the regular theater. The movie was HILARIOUS!!!! I laughed so hard!!! I highly recommend this movie if you need a good laugh.
