Today was a busy day... First was horse riding lessons. This was followed by shopping... We had to buy birthday presents for Zoe and Reuben, needed new shoes thanks to Riley, and several other items. We managed to accomplish all our shopping needs in the time that I had alloted. We left the mall at 2 p.m. and went home to put gifts in gift bag and have Kyra change into her swimsuit. I walked her across the street at 3 p.m. to go to Zoe's birthday party. Karolin had arranged for several parents with minivans to help her take all the kids to an indoor water park.
So while Kyra was partying, I went to the gym. I did about 30 minutes of strength training followed by 4 miles on the treadmill. I watched the Kentucy Derby pre-race show while jogging on the treadmill. When Kyra returned home from the party, I had the TV already tuned to the Kentucky Derby pre-race show. She sat glued to the TV while I finished making dinner. When the time came, I sat down with her to watch the big race. We were both surprised at the winner. He seemed to come out of nowhere. What a race!
