busy sunday

Happy Birthday Madeline!

Today was quite busy. We started out by going to church and then having lunch with about a dozen church members at Red Robin. Next we went school supply shopping. Kyra's eager to get all of her supplies now, before the best things sell out. She wasn't too thrilled with the selection of binders and a couple of other items, so I told her not to settle on something that she didn't really want. We bought most of the things on the list and will go to other stores over the next few weeks until we find what she really wants.

Next we went to Borders bookstore. I had a 25% off coupon and need a good book to read for the summer. Kyra wandered off to the children's section while I looked at novels. It's a small bookstore, we go there often, and she had her cell phone with her so I felt comfortable with her doing this. A while later she found me and said that she had tried to call me a few times but her cell phone kept giving an error message. My phone worked fine. She started having problems with it last weekend. Last weekend I had "reset" it and that helped for a short period, but it still wasn't working perfectly. She doesn't use it much, but if she's away from me in a store, or if she goes to the pool before me, etc. I want her to have a working cell phone. So our next stop was the AT&T store in the same shopping center. An hour later we left with a properly functioning new phone for her.

This evening, we went to the Northlake Movie Tavern and saw the Disney movie Up. It was a cute movie!

Running tally: I ran 19.05 miles this week, a few shy of my goal. Next week I start the 17-week Chicago marathon training plan (intermediate).
