I went out on a first lunch date today. He seems like a really nice guy and we have several common interests. It's not "love at first sight", but I'm open to getting to know him better. But sadly, I found myself comparing him to my lunch date of yesterday (a married co-worker) as well as to an ex-boyfriend. Of course the married co-worker and ex-boyfriend are out of reach, but they're good benchmarks.
Kyra was using my iPhone yesterday and noticed that he had called me several times recently. She asked why _________ has been calling me so often. She didn't like the idea that I was going out on a date and said that she was watching me... She's not keen on the idea of me dating anyone, and to be honest, I'm not going to settle into a relationship unless he's supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Later in the evening my cousin Rusty sent me a text message. We continued texting back and forth for hours. He is SO FUNNY!!! He asked if I was going to RUN to Fitzgerald tomorrow. HA HA HA!!! I still think of him as a little boy, but I guess he's truly a grown man now. Time flies...
