Group Power

Kyra's spending tonight (and last night) with her dad. I worked late and then zoomed home to change clothes and go to Gold's Gym. The Group Power class starts at 6:45 p.m., which is about what time I arrived in the parking lot. My down-the-street neighbor was getting out of her car at the same time that I was and was heading to the same class. She's a regular and helped me set up since the class had already started. I told her I wanted minimal weights since this is my first time. During the class I felt like I had the perfect amounts of weights for most exercises, but too little for the bicep/tricep work. I really enjoyed the class. Afterwards I talked to the instructor, Kris (spelling ?). She's training for the Dublin (Ireland) marathon in late October. She's run several marathons before. We talked about marathons and training plans, etc. She uses the Galloway training plan. I walked out with my neighbor, Cathy, and we talked about me coming in the future. I told her that my training plan calls for strength training on Mondays and Wednesdays and at least for the next few weeks Kyra will either be with her dad or at camp on Wednesdays, so my plan is to go to the Group Power class. It's a lot more fun than working out alone!
