We spent last night at my dad's house and didn't get too much rest. His oxygen machine is in the guest bedroom and it's noisy, heat producing, and gurgling. I had a hard time going to sleep and since I'm a light sleeper, I woke up every few hours. We left shortly after 9 a.m. to drive back home. It was good to see my dad, but I was ready to get back home. We stopped at Olive Garden for lunch and received yet more comments about our matching wounds.
After arriving home, Kyra asked if she could purchase a movie On Demand. She wanted to watch Bride Wars, which is a movie that I wanted to see too. So we cuddled together on the couch watching this funny movie. I'm glad she still likes to cuddle!
Later we went to swim practice. She complained of not feeling well when I mentioned it was time to change into her swimsuit. I thought she was just making excuses and made her go anyway. She started the practice, but then sat on the edge for about half of it, then got back in. I sat with friends enjoying catching up on their lives. Afterwards I asked Kyra why she was sitting out. She said her head hurt so the coach told her she could sit out until she felt better. Now I'm feeling like a bad mom for pushing her to go. I hope she feels better soon!
