fun with family

I had originally planned to run this morning, but the roads are too muddy. So I settled on relaxing on the deck/in the pool instead. Kyra and I slept on the couch and woke up around 8:30 a.m. Later in the morning we had breakfast and then the girls locked themselves in Brianna's room. So I decided that this would be the perfect time to give Reuben (my nephew) his overdue birthday present. I had bought him a Star Wars Lego set. He was excited when he opened it and my brother and I started working on putting it together. It was rated ages 8-14. My brother, nephew and I had fun working on it together. Later, the girls wanted to ride the four-wheelers. I don't think Kyra has even driven one by herself. After lots of instruction, she got on the small one and followed my brother through the trails that they were allowed to ride on. Then Brianna (my niece) got on the bigger four-wheeler and off they went. After a while, they got hot and wanted to go swimming. They went back and forth between the four-wheeler and the pool for hours. Although the water was cold, I laid on a float for a while in the pool. The sun alternated with clouds and we eventually got out mid-afternoon for a late lunch. We hated to leave, but needed to go to my dad's house for a visit. About 45 minutes into the drive to Valdosta, Kyra realized she left her stuffed "Boo Bear" in Fitzgerald. I called my brother, he found it, and said he would mail it to us tomorrow. THANKS FOR A GREAT VISIT UNCLE WAHKIE!!!
